Who Is Langston E. Boudreaux?

For starters, Langston E. Boudreaux is a pseudonym that I use for both the Secure The Role! Acting Contest and as a Screenwriter. The world is just simply not ready for the true identity of History's Most Compelling Storyteller and Screenwriter.

One of my greatest inspirations comes from seeing my wife's smiling face daily, and being the direct recipient of her unconditional Love. Her existence in my life motivates me to Dream Big, and propels my every effort towards realizing my goal of seeing my stories on the big screen. She is the reason I've found my passion for screenwriting in the first place.

With an education background in Supply Chain Management, I decided to try something different as a hobby. Something completely outside of my realm of comfort. I decided to try acting. After completing an Acting Bootcamp for rookies in January of 2020, I set out to conquer the acting world. Then came COVID! COVID slammed the acting door shut on myself, as well as thousands of other aspiring Acting Talent. Well, if I'm honest, I really wasn't that good at acting to begin with. COVID or no COVID, securing acting roles would have still been few and far between. Success in life begins with being honest with one's self, regardless of how hurtful or embarrassing it may be. Oh well....

Anyway, fast forward to December of 2020. While having only a few acting credits to my name, in very small and insignificant roles, the idea of the Secure The Role Acting Challenge came to mind. Shortly there after, in January of 2021, I wrote my very first short screenplay, titled:  'This Script Is Bullsh*t!'  Within a 2 month frame, 12 more shorts were written for the acting challenge.

After my newly created catalog of Shorts, and 3 episodes of the acting challenge in the books, I decided to try my hand at writing a Feature screenplays. If you have time, browse over the short details of those screenplays below. And if your interest is real piqued, have a go at the sample reading in the appropriate links.

After viewing, if you're still interested and would like to, say, purchase the script (producers, production houses, etc.) or work with myself in an Agent or Manager capacity, please proceed to the 'Contact Us' page and give me a shout via email.

Thanks for your time, effort, and consideration.

Screenplay #1

Title:             Fearlessly! (111 pgs.)

Format:       Feature

Genre:         Psychological Horror / Mystery / Love

Comp.:        A cross between the classics 'Get Out' & 'The Devil's Advocate'.

Logline:       Plagued by his fear of falling in love, an introverted artist discovers how his choices adversely affect both his own well-being and the realities of those he cares for.

Summary:  Malcolm Reddish struggles with the psychological fears hidden deep within his mind - fear of failure, criticism, and love. And while appearing insignificant, those emotional barriers impede Malcolm's pursuit of happiness by negatively affecting his thoughts and decisions. The primary example being the logic behind Malcolm's decision to reject an innocent get-together proposed by his long-time friend, Siobhan.

As Malcolm now grapples with how he may have hurt Siobhan, he's unaware that the people in his close circle - his father and two best friends - are the personifications of those psychological fears from his mind. And whether in the past or in the present, they unknowingly project their negativity onto Malcolm with varying levels of vigor and intent.

Malcolm is also unaware that an enigmatic presence stalks his every move. A presence that hides behind the beauty and magnificence of a Mercedes S680, where it creeps in the shadows and behind the scenes of Malcolm's life. But this mystery vehicle is most peaceful after revealing itself, and its unbiased execution, when summoned into action by none other than - Malcolm's happiness.

So, as Malcolm proceeds with living his seemingly normal life, and overcoming those psychological fears in his mind, the personifications of his fears suddenly start to die in his physical world. Consequently, not only must Malcolm trust a deceitful stranger to help understand the murders, but Malcolm must also explain why the mystery vehicle appears before each crime scene.... and why the mystery vehicle is only visible to the soon-to-be murdered victims, and Malcolm himself.

Pitch:        Imagine a reality where 'Fear' walks, talks, and breathes just like you, but ego and loyalty prevents you from noticing its destruction!

Screenplay #2

Title:             Je Ne Sais Quoi (96 pgs.) - work in progress

Genre:         Comedy

Logline:       Four quirky brainiacs get a lesson in street hustling and corporate greed when thieves steal their 'for nerds only' love potion and threaten to sell it to the masses.

Summary:   Antwan Q. Willingham and his nerd friends have successfully created the world's most effective love potion - Je Ne Sais Quoi. But this isn't just any ole philter. Antwan and team designed their 'miracle stuff' to only work on those with an I.Q. of 140 or more (Wechsler Intelligence Scale). With plans of pitching their invention to big pharma, and being able to help nerds worldwide to find love, the nerd team seems destined for greatness. That is until a ruthless gangbanger, O.R., becomes aware.

Self-serving and money-hungry, O.R. has his eyes set on personal gains. He hijacks the nerds' potion, and forces them to work the streets in order to sell it. After finally succeeding in selling a portion of their cherished Je Ne Sais Quoi, and bonding with O.R. in the process, the nerd team is dealt a devastating blow when their laboratory is ransacked, and the remaining potion is stolen.

O.R. and the nerd team come together to infiltrate the perceived thief's headquarters. After regaining possession of their potion, and believing they've succeeded, Antwan and the other nerds are apprehended by the authorities. With the nerds captured, and the previously stolen love potion now in his possession, O.R. is met with the toughest decision of his life - escape capture with the precious goods, or stay to assure the nerds are safe. Making the decision even more difficult for O.R. is the realization that helping the nerds will require him to reveal a secret about himself that only he is aware of.
